We are a family-oriented community dedicating our lives to following Jesus Christ and helping others to know and experience His transforming power.
The Arima Church of the Nazarene is a Protestant Christian Church in the Wesleyan Holiness Tradition. We are a part of a denomination that is home to about 2.5 million members, worshipping in 30,000 local churches in 162 countries.
We are loving people who passionately serve God and empower our community
We gather on Sundays at 9:00 am and 11:0 am for our bi-lingual service for Spanish-speakers. Services are in-person and online.
Just a stone’s throw away from the Arima Hospital, we are conveniently located in the heart of Arima with easy access to the Priority Bus Route and the Eastern Main Road.
We are driven by the belief that the church must be a REAL force in the community. REAL implies that we must be Relevant, Effective, Accurate (biblically) and Life-changing. We cater to diverse groups and needs including youth and children programs, ministry and leadership training, music development, early childhood care and education, sports and English as a second language program.
When you come you’ll encounter a meaningful worship experience that includes a loving atmosphere, soulful music and inspirational messages from the Bible that leaves you refreshed and drawn closer to God.
Our Senior Pastor
Rev. Rian Williams gave his life to Christ in the year 2003 at age 21. During his early months of serving the Lord, he felt the call leading him towards ministry and enrolled in the Caribbean Nazarene College. While at CNC he met his spouse and best friend, Rev. Alvilene Williams, who serves with him in full-time ministry overseeing the church’s administration. They have two beautiful daughters, Zoe and Ayn.
Pastor Rian is deeply committed to growing deeper in his faith, caring for his family and leading a church that is REAL. His style of teaching is simple, encouraging and seeks to provide listeners with a lesson they could take to work them the following day.
Apart from church ministry, Pastor Rian is also passionate about societal transformation and helping people achieve their full potential. A former Caricom Youth Ambassador to Trinidad, he is a certified John C Maxwell Leadership Trainer and holds a Masters in Organizational Leadership from the Point Loma Nazarene University.
What We Believe
We are a Christian, Missional and Holiness Church. The Church of the Nazarene is the largest denomination in the classical Wesleyan-Holiness tradition. The doctrine that distinguishes the Church of the Nazarene and other Wesleyan denominations from most other Christian denominations is that of entire sanctification. Nazarene believe that God calls Christians to a life of holy living that is marked by an act of God, cleansing the heart from original sin and filling the individual with a love for God and humankind.
This experience is marked by entire consecration of the believer to do God’s will and is followed by a life of seeking to serve God through service to others. Like salvation, entire sanctification is an act of God’s grace, not of works. Our pursuant service to God is an act of love whereby we show our appreciation for the grace that has been extended to us through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
